Eye Shadows
There are lots of things to consider in choosing a good eyeshadow. First, you want to pick a good shadow that will last
throughout the day and not gather in the crease. Also, you want to pick the right color and the right amount of drama
and shimmer for the occasion and to make your eyes pop. Matching your outfit is not something you want to do.
Generally you want to use several colors on your eye. Start with a neutral base, then a darker color in the crease and a highlighter under the brow. Do not use a dark color on the brow bone or under the brow. That drama should be saved for the models on the catwalk. You may want to add a color to the lid to make your eyes pop. Blue eyes will pop with a blue shadow but they will also pop with a contrasting color like brown. Be sure to blend the colors so that there are no obvious lines separating the colors.
The dark color in your crease should only be on the outer edges of your eyes blending to lighter toward your nose. Do not extend the dark color above the crease. A light highlighter near your tear duct will make your eyes look brighter, bigger and more open.
Starting with a good primer base will help make your shadow last longer. The all time favorite base for most people are the MAC Paints. These can be used alone or with shadows on top.
