Lip Gloss and Lip Plumpers

Lip gloss is infamous for wearing off fast, but if you fill in lips first with the liner, the gloss has something to stick to.
Thicker lip glosses tend to last a little longer while thinner glosses are easily removed by eating or drinking, so look for the stickier glosses.
Older lips need a creamier look. As you age, lips get thinner and more wrinkled so wearing just gloss may not be the best choice. Use a creamy lipstick with little gloss on top.
When choosing lip gloss colors, the most flattering shades are ones that are closest to your natural lip color or are one to two shades brighter or darker.
The best lip glosses cannot be found in drugstores I regret to say. To get beautiful, long lasting color that is good for your lips, invest in a quality lip gloss. You won't regret it. Your lips will be healthier and you will look more beautiful.
There is another product which claims to plump the lips. These lip plumper ingredients can be in a gloss, a cream, or a stick form. They work by slightly inflaming your lips so that they look plumper. It generally doesn't last very long - maybe an hour. They usually contain some form of Capsicum which is a pepper that is used for making cayenne pepper or Tabasco. Some contain cinnamon oil.
I don’t recommend injections or surgical implants for plumping the lips. Too many people tend to go overboard and the lips just look deformed. Cosmetic surgery may be an appropriate choice for some people but this website is devoted to making the best of the assets we are born with.
Personally, I don't find it worth to buy a special plumper and have to use a lip gloss, too, since the plump doesn't tend to last long. Several good lip glosses have a built-in plumper which is a good alternative if you really want plump lips. If any of you want to convince me that there are some good plumpers available that are really worth it, please tell me about it in the forum.

I love that Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Repulpant Shiny Lip Plumper SPF10 has sun protection, too. It's a plumper that adds color and shine.
Dior Addict Lip Maximizer is a lip plumper but Dior also has several good glosses. Dior Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect is a beautiful shimmery gloss. Dior DiorKiss Lip Gloss is very similar to Lancome's Juicy Tubes.
There seems to be mixed reviews about whether Clinique Full Potential Lips Plump and Shine is too tingly or not tingly at all. It didn't seem to tingle worse than any of the others to me but some sensitive lips may not like it. It works well to plump the lips and is sticky enough to last.
Chanel Glossimer has a gel texture and provides good gloss and color.
Shiseido Lip Gloss has a great long-lasting color and shine and is very reasonably priced.
MAC Lipglass has lots and lots of nice tinted colors and lasts, lasts, lasts.
Nars Lip Gloss comes in sheer, cream and semi-sheen. The cream version does not feel as sticky as the others. But, as with most Nars products, this is a great product that has many, many fans.
