Moisturizers
Those of you who have a tendency toward oily skin may think, like I used to, that you don't need a moisturizers.
But that is far from the truth. Actually, if you skin doesn't get enough moisture, it will generate more which
will make you skin even oilier. And we should all keep our skin hydrated properly to ward off wrinkles.
My all time favorite hydrator is Dr. Grandel Hydro Active Moisture Depot. It is just like giving your face a big drink of water. It is not oily, greasy or even creamy. It soaks into the skin but keeps it feeling moist - not greasy - for a long time. It is especially good for sensitive or acne-prone skin because it will not clog pores or cause those "little bumps" on the skin under the eye.
Kinerase Cream SPF 30 is very good for improving skin texture and tone for older or sun-damaged skin. It
is also non-comedogenic - which means it won't clog your pores. You can use this with Dr. Grandel's Hydro Active
Moisture Depot, or alone if you skin is oily, as a good base for oil-free makeup.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is also a good moisturizer for sensitive or acne-prone skin because it is fragrance-free and allergy tested. It also is very lightweight.
Olay Regenerist UV Defense Regenerating Lotion is rated highly by many but the strong fragrance may turn off some who have allergies or sensitive skin. Or like me, they just may not like the strong fragrance.
La Mer Crème de la Mer is great for very dry skin but may not work well for those that are acne prone. And it is very expensive.
Estee Lauder DayWear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Lotion SPF 15 is loaded with antioxidants and has sun protection but it is more expensive than the moisturizers listed above.
If you don't want to use a moisturizer and a sunscreen, too, a common favorite sunscreen that is moisturizing in addition to protecting is La Roche-Posay Anthelios SX Daily Moisturizing Cream SPF15. I tend to use Dr. Grandel's Hydro Active Moisture Depot to first give my face a drink and then this cream as extra moisture and my sunscreen, too.
